Jordanians spend 750 million dinars annually on foreign tourism
Minister of Labour and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Nidal Qatamin revealed that outbound tourism expenditure, which represents Jordanians payments outside the Kingdom up annually to about 750 million dinars, which will impact negatively on the services account in the event of increase, in addition to being a form drain on foreign currency outside the Kingdom.

And between Qatamin that this action will lead to the independence of working in the field of inbound tourism offices, on the grounds that most of what is announced by the Central Bank of the rise in tourist revenue comes from tourists coming through these offices to the kingdom, and thus achieve the benefit desired from the tourism sector to the national economy.
In this context, Qatamin stressed that tourism income increased during the past eleven months increased by 6.5% from the same period in 2013, revealing that the total tourism income this year amounted to approximately 2.9 billion dinars, which is higher than the average achieved by tourism income during the past five years at a rate of 2.5 billion dinars.
