«Parliamentary tourism» discusses the constraints and problems of the tourism sector
Commission of Tourism and Antiquities parliamentary held yesterday a meeting chaired by Deputy Munir Zawayde and the presence of the Minister of Transport Lina Shabib and Director of Organizing Land sector body Marwan Al-Hamoud and a number of owners of tourism companies and the Association of Hotels and associations tourist restaurants and specialists which discussed a number of topics of interest to the tourism sector.
The MP said Munir Zawayde, the tourism sector suffers from many problems and obstacles facing it, especially with the worsening political and security situation in neighboring countries and called for knowledge and diagnosis of the tourist reality of the kingdom and work to find radical solutions.
For her part, Dr. Shabib in the meeting, which was allocated by the Commission to discuss the operational life of the tourist buses that now exists in the office of opinion and legislation transportation system project in preparation for the study confirmed that he has been many meetings with specialists to discuss the operational life of the means of transport, and noted there is a shortage in in a bus in the UK, calling at the same time to tighten control over public transport.
On the other hand, the Committee discussed in a separate meeting of the obstacles and problems facing the tourism sector in the Kingdom with specialists to work to resolve them. The MP added Zawayde, the tourism sector's problems are many and it will soon hold a retreat which combines competent and government sectors to promote participatory values them and then will form a small committee to follow up the implementation of the recommendations of the retreat.
For their part, called on the audience to amend certain regulations and legislation tourism sector reviewers at the same time the most important obstacles facing the tourism such as high taxes and costs, and some of the obstacles in the Investment Promotion Law.
