Health calls for the development of specific mechanisms for the work of medical tourism offices at the airport

 

Called on Health Minister Dr. Ali Hiasat to develop a mechanism work clear and specific performance of medical tourism offices set up at the airport to organize the reception of patients and instruct them to their needs and provide them with information about the Jordanian health sector.

This came during a visit Monday to the Directorate and the meeting with the management and staff to assess the progress of work and work plan for the next stage.

He stressed the need to strengthen the role of the Medical Tourism Directorate of the Ministry to perform its functions optimally.

He said the ministry pay most attention of medical tourism and medical tourism opening offices at the airport comes as part of efforts to promote tourism in this.

He expressed his interest in the ministry, Dr. Hiasat building a strong partnership between all health sectors, especially on the therapeutic tourism and enhance coordination among them, calling the Directorate to communicate effectively with the trade unions concerned and the Association of Private Hospitals Association and the Jordanian hospitals and the relevant authorities to support medical tourism.

He pointed out that there should be a record of medical tourism include information and indicators of its own in terms of numbers of patients and their countries and therapeutic service required and any information and stats contribute to the scientific documentation flour to this issue.

And provided medical tourism director Dr. tired Wreikat briefed about the functions of the Directorate and its work plan for the next phase and the role of medical tourism offices at the airport to receive patients and instruct them about available in the UK and facilitate therapeutic services in their mission to reach.
