874. MOHAMMED SALMAN AL AMRAT (English)

I am Mohammed Salman Al Amrat. I was born in Wadi Mousa -Petra-on the tenth of February 1981. I am married with two boys and two girls. I studied atWadiMousaSecondaryHigh School, and passed the Tawjihi exam in 1999. Then I joined Al -HusseinBinTalalUniversityas a student of English Language and Literature. On June 2003 I got the B.A degree.

While I was studying at the university and as a part-time working, I worked in the Visitors\' centre of Petraas a receptionist. As a student of English, it was important to interact with native speakers of English. Also it was necessary to cover my needs as a student. On 24th of August 2003 I was appointed at the Ministry of Education ofJordan as an English teacher.

Later on, I attended a course for beginner teachers which concerned about specific important teaching techniques. Firstly, I taught at an elementary school then I moved to a Primary one and recently, I have moved to the school where I graduated from;WadiMousaSecondary School. Among the classes that I have been teaching are: Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth (Tawjihi) grades. In addition of being a teacher I worked as a receptionist in one of the hotels inPetrafor almost three years. Although it was so hard to get on with two jobs, I did not give up for the sake of my ambitions. During that period, I gained practical experience in addition to the financial income. After that I left the hotel to work as a part-time job after school in - Jordan Inspiration Tours - a travel agency inPetraas a tour operator until present.

On the other hand, I dealt with different people from different nationalities with different languages. This helped me a lot with improving my English. I hardly tried to be a native- like speakers when dealing with clients.

Moreover, I attended several courses concerning English and other process of teaching English. I consider that the most important one was by the \'\' Regional English language Office\" with the cooperation of the “US Department of State\". In this course, I passed forty hours concerned of training about Critical Thinking, Assessment and Evaluation, Class Management, Writing and Reading Skills.

In August the 7th 2006, I was certificated the ICDL (International Computer Driving License) declaring that I have successfully passed all modules required for the granting of the International Computer Driving License. I believe that the world is so wide, so it is really worth to explore and get the knowledge out through traveling and knowing different people from different places all over the world. Time is so important for me; I make sure always to fulfill my spare time with something I can get benefit from.

I always believe in seeking excellence and look for creating new opportunities, in a way that I can serve my beloved country,Jordan. I decided to quit teaching and learn to be a tour guide, I was qualified and certificated after a long term course about tour guiding and learning history of all over Jordan; so that I have the chance then to represent my country and home town Petra for our guests who come from all over the world in the best way.
